Overview of Right-Suite Commercial Modules
Right-CommDraw for Windows
Right-Suite Commercial's Floor Plan Design Module
Right-CommDraw (RCD) will help you draw a floor plan that converts to a complete commercial HVAC system design in minutes! You'll drag and drop Wrightsoft's HVAC-Shapes to sketch a floor plan, complete with thermal characteristics. As you sketch in the floor plan, the HVAC Shapes automatically figure out floor-to-floor areas, net wall areas, overhangs, and other tedious calculations.
- Right-CommDraw enables you to read-in a CAD file and put it in a scaled layer for easy reference. You can write the finished duct system, with automatically generated size and cfm notations, back into the CAD file.
- Duct editing is easy with RCD. Using duct HVAC-Shapes, you can quickly edit the duct system for more registers and different trunk runs. Its easy to build your own duct system if you want your own custom layout. VAV boxes, registers, and air handlers are easily dragged to your preferred location.
- Ability to draw 2-line and mixed 1-Line/2-Line commercial duct systems complete with ASHRAEs duct database of fittings.
Right-CommLoad for Windows
Right-Suite Commercial's Load Calculation Module
Right-CommLoad (RCL) uses 24-hour by 12 month ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals methods to compute heating and cooling loads for an unlimited number of zones. RCLs colorful Load Meter will show you the shape of peaks, not only over 24-hours, but also over 12 months. Using RCLs color pie charts, you can show your clients a load breakdown for any zone or group of zones.
- In addition to having a built-in library of thousands of material types for building surfaces, RCL makes it easy for you to use your own special material types. Another major labor saver is Usage Scenario for office, retail, warehouse, etc. The built-in library of Scenarios presets 24-hour schedules for lighting, motors, thermostats, appliances and occupancy. Of course, you can copy and rename these to make your own custom Scenarios.
- RCL enables you to specify equipment type by using the drag-and-drop System Navigator to assign VAV boxes, air handlers, and central plants as you need. Each space can have its own thermostat, and can be grouped with other spaces by just dragging from one piece of equipment to another in the System Navigator.
Right-CommLoad recalculates instantly as you enter figures enabling you to play "What If?" just by changing one value in the easy-to-understand form. Within the Right-Suite Commercial package, RCL works together with Right-CommDraw and Right-CommDuct to automate your calculations from floor plan to duct system.
Right-CommDuct for Windows
Right-Suite Commercial's Duct Design Module
- Right-CommDuct (RCDuct) combines ASHRAE's latest duct fitting database with your choice of computation methods: equal friction, modified equal friction and static regain.
- Use RCDuct to enter an existing system and actual available pressure to determine problems and how to solve them. RCDuct handles sheet metal, fiberglass, vinyl flex, metal flex, and oval, round, or rectangular ducts.
- You can preset your preferred fittings for all common situations (takeoffs, reductions, tees, etc), and even preset your common practices for maximum velocity, maximum Btu's per run, and other important repeating values.
- The full power of RCDuct is displayed when you combine it with Right-CommLoad, Right-CommDraw and the new Right-Comm 2-Line Duct to produce automatically sized 2-Line duct systems, which can serve multiple zones and multiple configurations.
- Integrated together as a Right-Suite Commercial package, these four modules yield a design system that automatically resizes 2-line ducts and fittings as you change the building description. Information from RCDuct regarding air flow and duct size is automatically fed back to the drawing via formatted notes.
(Please Note: Right-CommDuct requires Right-CommDraw for drawings and Right-Comm 2-Line Duct for 2-Line CAD quality duct designs)
Right-Comm 2-Line Duct
Right-Suite Commercials 2-Line CAD-Quality Duct and Fitting Design Module
- RSCs 2-line duct design module draws 2-line and mixed 1-line/2-line CAD quality ductwork corresponding to ASHRAEs duct database of fittings.
- Right-Comm 2-Line Duct makes it easy to read and write a 2-Line CAD quality file to an AutoCAD DWG and DXF file. Users can read an architects CAD file, use that file for input, and then design a CAD quality 2-line duct system quickly using RSCs load calculation and automated duct sizing modules.
- If youre not a CAD user, simply design your building, lay in 1-Line duct systems and with a touch of the button, 2-Line duct designs are produced and ready for printing.
- Right-Comm 2-Line Duct converts one-line drawings to 2-line drawings automatically. All changes to duct designs are reflected instantly in two line drawings
watch CFMs change at the register!
(Please Note: Right-Comm 2-Line Duct requires Right-CommDraw CommLoad and CommDuct)
Right-CommProposal
Right-Suite Commercials Job Estimating and Proposal Module
- Right-CommProposal (RCP) produces presentation quality reports. These reports include building and zone summaries, detailed calculations, and pie charts of load breakdowns.
- RCPs reports give you the level of professional presentation that commercial jobs require. You can drop in your own logo on reports, and when you print out floor plans, you can add your own logo, and drop in graphics for equipment schedules or other 2D graphical information.
- Using Right-Suite Commercials drawing tools and text tools, you can quickly construct your own detailed notes and titles to clarify layout and drawing level specification.
- Using RCPs powerful unlimited database of categories and items, you can build your own custom library of commonly used parts and prices. Wrightsofts internal generic parts (for example, duct fittings) can be mapped to your own parts, so that your proposals will include actual parts and costs. These detailed parts lists are accumulated by major cost area into a final proposal for a real parts estimate.
